The cool weather means the holidays are getting closer. You can almost smell the gingerbread and Christmas cookies already.  And for many, that means baking family favorite desserts.  

It's time to show off your creations for a chance to win a great prize in our Best Decorated Dessert Contest.   

The submission period is over.  The voting period is Saturday through Tuesday.

The entry with the most votes wins a $250 gift certificate to Make It Sweet. That prize is heaven for a baker. Make It Sweet is the largest cake supply store in Central Texas.  You can get bakeware, baking and decorating supplies or take a decorating class. 

From the official rules: This contest is open to amateurs only.  Professional chefs, bakers, food decorators, and culinary students of any kind are not eligible.  A professional is considered to be any individual who has ever been employed, provided private services, or studied as a chef, baker, or food decorator.
